Taking BNPL to the next level 

THE BRIEF

Payl8r appointed us to build its brand awareness in the fintech and e-commerce sectors by increasing the profile of chief operating officer, Samantha Fogerty. Our approach was to position Samantha as a fintech thought leader supported with messaging that underlined Payl8r’s ethical Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) offering.

OUR OBJECTIVES

  • To position Samantha as a thought leader in the fintech and business sector.
  • To drive awareness of Payl8r being an ethical BNPL lender.
  • To increase Payl8r’s positioning in the BNPL and fintech sector.

OUR SOLUTION

Having worked with Payl8r on projects in the past, our team had an existing knowledge of the brand’s messaging, product details, and the industry. We held targeted discovery calls to top up our intel on key subject areas, providing us with a further understanding of Samantha’s track record and experience in finance and e-commerce

We curated a targeted media list of press titles that would allow us to reach our desired audience for each topic. This allowed us to effectively outreach to key media contacts, paving the way to coverage in the likes of The Heard, Prolific North, Financial IT, The Fintech Times, Yahoo Finance and more.

To further increase Samantha’s profile, we researched relevant speaker opportunities that could provide a platform to her target markets. This led to a number of podcast opportunities and a major speaker opportunity for a panel at the leading fintech conference at Credit Week, attended by 1,000+ professionals from Payl8r’s target audience.

We stirred consciousness through digital channels via a Payl8r customer case study, published in Business Age, on its partnership with Faces. The case study highlighting how BNPL can be used to leverage growth opportunities for SMEs. We also distributed a press release on Payl8r’s collaboration with intensive driving school, PassMeFast, where 3,000 students were able to pass their driving test thanks to Payl8r’s flexible finance options. The release received over 270,000 coverage views and a 12-minute feature on The Fintech Times podcast.
