THE BRIEF
Affordable housing developer, Watson Homes appointed Rumpus to promote its developments across the North West region. Watson works with a range of stakeholders, from Housing Associations to Local Authorities and it was important that any communications highlighted these relationships.

- Establish Watson as the leading affordable homes developer in the North West
- Strengthen Watson’s stakeholder relationships through press coverage
- Generate community engagement by highlighting the benefits of Watsons developments to the local community
OUR SOLUTION
Rumpus established a clear pipeline of Watson project to ensure we kept up to date with the stages of each development. We set out a clear comms plan based on the most newsworthy stages of each development which would range from ‘contracts exchanged’, ‘work begins’ and ‘project completion’. Ahead of any communication, we outreached to all stakeholders involved and collaborated with them on content.
For high-level projects such as Green Street, Radcliffe and Lockside Walk we coordinated site visits from Local Councilors, including a site tour and photography with a press release highlighting the visit. Our involvement in this included coordinating timings, securing quotes from key spokespeople and briefing all parities on the day’s agenda.
